Greatest Presidents of the United States highlights the most successful leaders among America's 44 presidents. This film spotlights American Presidents' tough decisions and moral dilemmas throughout United States history. This documentary examines Abraham Lincoln's excellent handling of the Civil War and his struggle with the scourge of slavery in the 1860s. Franklin Delano Roosevelt's solutions to the Great Depression are also documented as well as the perseverance he showed in his debilitating bout with Polio as a young man. The film also discusses the lives and accomplishments of 20th century Presidents Woodrow Wilson, Harry S. Truman, and John F. Kennedy. Though it talks briefly about each President, this film focuses on what made our most successful Presidents successful. Featuring interviews with former Presidents and their advisers, Greatest Presidents of the United States provides keen insight into the characteristics of America's most accomplished leaders whether they be liberal or conservative, Democratic or Republican.
