Movie Summary

Director:
Casey La Scala
Released:
2003
Rating:
PG-13
Grind is an action comedy written by Ralph Sall and stars Mike Vogel as Eric Rivers, the young man who will stop at nothing to be the best skater and get the best girls. Also starring Joey Kern, Adam Brody and Vince Vieluf, this film tells the story of four young guys who head out on a cross-country trip from Chicago, Illinois to Oceanside, California as they follow a touring skateboard star named Jimmy Wilson (Jason London). Trying to land a place on the skateboard tour, the action becomes fast, and sometimes breathtaking, as they do tricks and stunts in a desperate attempt to be discovered. However, they are continually being blocked by Wilson's manager. Actual professional boarders Matt Ball, Bam Margera, Tony Trujillo and Ryan Sheckler were used to perform scenes that make the action scenes very realistic. If you love skateboarding, or watching X-Games, you will likely be enthralled with the skill sets shown in this film, while having a few laughs along the way.moreless
