Movie Summary

Tommy Lee Wallace
Halloween III: Season of the Witch is the second sequel in the popular horror movie franchise, which has the distinction among fans of being the only sequel sans their beloved horror icon character Michael Myers. It nevertheless works as chilling 'pod' movie in the vein of Don Siegel's classic Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Dr. Daniel Challis (Tom Atkins, Night of the Creeps, The Fog, Escape from New York, Lethal Weapon, Bruiser, Two Evil Eyes) is stymied when a patient is murdered in a terribly grisly fashion in his hospital bed by a mysterious zombie like assassin. The only clues Challis has to go on to look further into the matter is the funny Halloween mask the man came in clutching deathly and the information his daughter Ellie (Stacey Nelkin, Bullets Over Broadway) has to share. Together, they travel to the strange town of Santa Mira, to investigate the masks' origins at the Silver Shamrock factory where they are made and uncover an ancient and ghoulish plot by factory head Conal Cochran (Daniel O'Herlihy, Robocop) to murder all children all Halloween night via the masks and an ancient Stonehenge secret.moreless

There's a delightfully promising premise behind Halloween III -- something's wrong with the kids' masks -- but somehow Wallace gets sidetracked, and the movie wanders away. [30 Oct...
