Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge was originally released in 2001 as a made-for-television movie from Disney and is a sequel to the film Halloweentown. Set two years after the first movie ended, Marnie (Kimberly J. Brown) is a young witch who is enjoying a visit from her grandmother, Aggie (Debbie Reynolds). She is introduced to Kal (Daniel Kountz), a cute boy her age, but does not realize that he is actually a warlock and the son of the villain Kalabar from the original Halloweentown. Kal manages to steal Aggie's spell book and turns the residents of Halloweentown into twisted versions of the human race, devoid of color and enthusiasm. He also plans to attack the mortal world by transforming people into their Halloween costumes, thereby switching the roles of each dimension. Marnie and her grandmother must return to Halloweentown and find a way to save their friends before the changes to both worlds become permanent.
