Unaware of their lack of talent, Richard Wolanski (Michael Beaver) and Barry Goodson (Jason Jones) both have undeterred perseverance in pursuing their dreams no matter what it takes. They believe that they can become successful at the right time even if it means enduring all humiliations and embarrassments thrown at them during auditions. Though having countless rejections and few callbacks, they accepted an offer to dress up as mascots and believed that it would be the first step to their stardom. They go through the cruel world of show business without a clue about their lack of talent. Despite disastrous auditions and embarrassing attempts at becoming one of the biggest actors in Canada, will Richard and Barry ever make it big? Or will they realize their shortcomings and let go of their dreams to call it quits?
