Released:
1971
Rating:
R

Hands of the Ripper is a haunting horror film about a young girl who murders people while in a trance-like state. After her aunt's murder, the very beautiful, but disturbed, teenager Anna (Angharad Rees) finds herself under the care of psychiatrist John Pritchard (Eric Porter), a disciple of Sigmund Freud. A witness insists that not only was the troubled girl the person who killed her aunt, but that she is possessed. Pritchard, however, is quick to brush aside this theory, searching for a more rational and psychological approach. His prodding reveals a very dark past, riddled with abuse, and stemming from a traumatic event as a toddler in which Anna witnessed her own mother's killing at the hands of her father, the notorious Jack The Ripper. As more is revealed in their sessions, Anna continues to kill while under the influence of a deep trance, and the ambitious psychiatrist begins to regret his decision to help the stunning teen, who could be beyond aid. Peter Sasdy direct this installment from the famous Hammer Films company.
