Hannibal Rising is a 2007 thriller and the fourth film to follow the creepy and intelligent cannibal Dr. Hannibal Lecter, and this installment follows the famous serial killer through his formative years as a young man growing up and attending school throughout Europe. Before he became a violent monster, Lecter was an innocent eight-year-old during learning the laws of life during the horrors of World War II in Lithuania. Lecter's relationship with death begins at an early age, as he witnesses the Nazi's destruction in his home country. This film follows the troubled young man as he grows up in a bloody world, consistently losing the only people he loves and pushed further into the grasps of his signature, calculating insanity. Gaspard Ulliel plays Hannibal Lecter, and the film co-stars Gong Li, Rhys Ifans, and Dominic West.
