Happy Hooker Goes to Washington is a 1977 comedy about what happens when the political world and the sexual revolution unite. Xaviera Hollander (Joey Heatherton) is a world-renowned madame and advice columnist. Xaviera is brought into the middle of a mysterious and tricky sex scandal that involves some seemingly conservative US senators. Right in the middle of the scandal is one of Xaviera's friends, a fellow prostitute, who has suddenly vanished. To draw attention away from this suspicious scandal, the senators decide to lampoon Xaviera as a representative of the sex industry, trying to bring about change in American morals. Luckily, Xaviera can tell that something is fishy with the trial, the sex scandal, her missing friend and the senators. It's up to Xaveria to save the day and expose the senators' plot, with the help of her attorney (George Hamilton) and an undercover CIA agent (Billy Barty). This sexy, funny comedy includes plenty of political intrigue.
