Hare Rama Hare Krishna (1971) is a family drama film that follows the story of a young man searching for his long lost sister who has gone to Nepal with her fellow hippies for a drug-influenced adventure. Prashant (Dev Anand) is a young pilot who grew up with his mother (Achala Sachdev) in India when his parents divorced several years ago in Montreal. After the divorce, Prashant's father (Kishore Sahu) stayed in Montreal with Jasbir (Zeenat Aman), Prashant's sister. After Prashant receives a letter from his father informing him that his sister rebelled and joined a group of hippies who went to Nepal, he follows his sister and lands in Kathmandu, Nepal. Upon his arrival, Prashant meets a beautiful woman named Janice, whom he does not recognize at first to be his lost sister. Jasbir's attempts to forget her past make it hard for her to recognize or even remember her older brother. Despite the dangers of going into the dark world of drug-induced hippies, Prashant is determined to bring his lost sister back in the family for a long-awaited reunion.moreless
