Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay is a 2008 comedy directed, produced and written by Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg. The film is the second installment in the Harold & Kumar series. The film begins with pot-smoking buddies, Harold (John Cho) and Kumar (Kal Penn), boarding a plane for Amsterdam. Besides the allure of legal marijuana in Amsterdam, the friends are traveling there so Harold can pursue a relationship with Maria (Paula Garces) who is on a modeling job there. While at the airport, Harold and Kumar run into a college friend, Colton (Eric Winter). Colton has become very successful since college and dreams of pursing a career in politics. He is also engaged to Kumar's ex-girlfriend, Vanessa (Danneel Harris). Once on the plane, a series of comical events leads to the two friends being accused of being terrorists. As a result, they are shipped to Guantanamo Bay. The friends desperately want to escape the prison and will do anything to make this happen.moreless
