Hav Plenty is a quirky romantic comedy about struggling writer who finds an unexpected reaction when he attends a party at his wealthy friend's house. Lee Plenty (Christopher Scott Cherot) is the worst kind of writer, the kind with writer's block. Broke and homeless, he gets by living with friends, and while his love life is suffering from the same down turn that he is experiencing from his career, Lee revels in making lemonade out of lemons, finding a silver lining in all his struggles. So when an old college friend, Havilland Savage (Chenoa Maxwell), who has recently left her brash and obnoxious pop singer fiance Michael Simmons (Hill Harper), invites him to spend New Years Eve in her family's posh Washington, D.C. home, Lee accepts the offer, hoping to spend some quality time with Hav. But to his surprise, the down on his luck author is suddenly the most popular guy at the party, gaining glances from just about every woman there. With his prospects at an all time high, the outrageously awkward Lee looks to have his pick of the litter, but sometimes romance is found in the most likely places. Cherot also writes and directs this unique urban comedy about a lovable loser that just might finally get his due.moreless
