Released:
1991
Rating:
PG-13
He Said, She Said is a tale of romance and humor told from a unique perspective - or rather, from two unique perspectives. Dan Hanson (Kevin Bacon) and Lorie Bryer (Elizabeth Perkins), contributors to the Baltimore Sun's editorial page, always seem to have drastically differing views on the issues of the day. Instead of downplaying this fact, the paper takes advantage of it by printing their articles side by side. The plan is wildly successful, resulting in a television show that is just as contentious as their articles were. Their initial antagonism slowly gives way to romantic interest, and as the couple's relationship grows they have to deal with their newfound fame and find a way to get past their differences. Co-directed by Ken Kwapis and Marisa Silver, the film is shown from the individual perspectives of Dan and Lorie, with Kwapis directing the first half of the film from the male perspective, and Silver directing the second half from the female perspective.moreless
