Heat is a crime drama that follows the inevitable conflict between a career criminal looking to pull off one last heist and the detective who is obsessed with catching him. Neil McCauley (Robert De Niro) has been robbing banks for years and is ready to settle down and lead a normal life. However, he can't resist the lure of one final bank robbery, something that draws the attention of Lt. Vincent Hanna (Al Pacino). While planning the crime, McCauley's life becomes complicated when he meets Eady (Amy Brenneman), a beautiful woman with whom he quickly falls in love. While McCauley switches back and forth between his life of crime and his life with Eady, Hanna gets closer and closer to catching him. Despite knowing that Hanna is on his trail, McCauley can't resist going forward with this plan. Will his love for Eady pull him back from the brink or are McCauley and Hanna destined to meet with their guns drawn?
