Rating:

Heist is a brilliantly executed 2001 crime drama from famed director David Mamet, who also wrote the critically acclaimed film. Joe Moore (Gene Hackman) is in a very bad position. The jewel thief's face has been captured by security cameras and for the first time, a witness can identify him. He has to retire and skip town for good, sailing around the world with his much younger, beautiful wife, Fran (Rebecca Pidgeon). Joe's share from the last heist will finance their new, simple life together. Joe's fence, Mickey Bergman (Danny DeVito), isn't happy with Joe's retirement plans. Mickey has Joe's share of the last heist, but he refuses to pay Joe or his crew, Bobby (Delroy Lindo), Pinky (Ricky Jay), and Jimmy (Sam Rockwell). Mickey wants the crew to pull one more job before Joe retires. Only then will he pay up. The job Mickey proposes is incredibly risky, though, and Joe and his men will be lucky to make it out alive. Will they be able to pull off the most important heist of their lives?moreless
