Heldorado is a western movie that was directed by William Witney and produced by Republic Pictures in 1946. The movie is based upon Roy Rogers, a Nevada State Ranger Captain who finds himself in charge of the Rangers Reclamation Service. As a result, he must travel to Las Vegas for the Frontier Days Festival. It is there that he meets his old friend, Gabby Whittaker (George Gabby Hayes), whom he wishes to help as Whittaker has found himself in a difficult situation. However, Rogers' life takes a turn for the unexpected when he meets Carol Randall (Dale Evans), an heiress who has been picked as the "Queen of Heldorado". There is also a police investigation into illegal activities at the casino he is staying. Counterfeit bills are being passed around to cheat people out of their money. Rogers must somehow manage to save his friend and solve the crime before he falls for the beautiful and dangerous Randall.
