Rating:
Hell Bound, a 1957 crime drama directed by William Hole Jr., starts with ruthless criminal Jordan (John Russell) trying to convice some investors of his plan to steal war-surplus narcotics from a freighter traveling from the Far East. To demonstrate exactly how the heist should play out, Jordan shows the group a film he made which "pre"-enacts the robbery that will be hopefully perfectly executed. The investors, led by the notorious gangster Harry Quatro (Frank Fenton), are duly impressed and offer their full backing. However, before Jordan can go off and execute his plan, Quatro's girlfriend Paula (June Blair) insists on joining the heist to protect her boyfriend's investment. Jordan reluctantly places Paula in the role of a nurse, so she can accompany an ambulance driver who is not in on the scheme. Paula thinks she is up for the task, but when she and the driver Eddie Mason (Stuart Whitman) witnesses a girl die in the ambulance, she starts wondering if she is in over her head. However, when Paula starts having feelings for Eddie, Jordan's brilliant scheme begins to fall apart.moreless
