This time around, Hellboy, Liz Sherman, Abe Sapien, and the rest of the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense (BPRD) face their biggest challenge ever, as a secret society of Elves have assembled an indestructible mechanical army and declared war on humanity. As if the end of the world wasn't enough, Hellboy is having problems with his girlfriend Liz, who has a secret she refuses to share. Hellboy must stop the Elves from destroying humanity, keep his existence a secret from the public he's protecting, and maintain his already stressed relationship. With the help of a charming new BPRD agent, Johann Krauss, the team sets out to save the world.
