Hellraiser V: Inferno is a 2000 horror movie directed by Scott Derrickson that is the fifth installment in the cult classic Hellraiser series. Joseph Thorne (Craig Sheffer) is a seedy LAPD detective who snorts cocaine, cheats on his wife with prostitutes, and pays little attention to his young daughter. After finding a mysterious puzzle box at the scene of his high school friend's grisly murder, he solves it while he is again sleeping with a hooker. He does not realize that the puzzle box is actually the Lament Configuration, a tool to open the doorway to hell. Joseph wakes up to find himself in a personal hell, lorded over by the demon Pinhead (Doug Bradley) and the rest of the Cenobites. There is also a murderer on the loose who is brutally murdering everybody Joseph has ever known. He must get the puzzle box back from Pinhead and solve the murders to escape an eternity in hell, but Joseph's past transgressions blur the lines between good and evil.moreless
