Hercules and the Princess of Troy is a fantasy adventure film directed by Albert Band that focuses on the story of Hercules (Gordon Scott), the half-god son of the king of the gods, Zeus, and his attempts to free the Trojan people from a sea monster. With the only way to placate the monster by sacrificing a maiden every month, strong Hercules, crafty Ulysses (Mart Hulswit), and philosophical Diogenes (Paul Stevens) take it upon themselves to find out why the monster seems intent on taking down Troy. Sidestepping attempts on their life by poisoned boxer glovers and thieves, the trio discover that Petra (Steve Garrett) is using the monster in attempt to seize the throne from his niece, Princess Diana (Diana Hyland), as her number is drawn to become the next sacrifice. Will Hercules be able to destroy the armored and nigh-indestructible sea monster before it gets its hands on the heir to the throne?
