Hercules and the Tyrants of Babylon is a 1964 adventure film written and directed by Domenica Paolella. After Babylonians kidnap beautiful Queen Asparia (Anna Maria Polani) of the Hellenes, she escapes into Bablyon and pretends to be a slave to conceal her true identity. The Hellenes decide to task strong, seemingly invincible Hercules (Peter Lupus) with the mission of retrieving their lost queen. The three rulers of Babylon, Taneal (Helga Line), Salman Osar (Livio Lorenzon) and Azzur (Tullio Altamura), soon learn that Asparia is a slave within their city and each come up with greedy plans to expand their own power. King Phaleg (Mario Petri) of Assyria also learns of Asparia's whereabouts and plans to force her to marry him so that he can join their two kingdoms. Brave Hercules tries to find a way to overcome all of the corrupt rulers in order to bring Asparia safely home to the Hellenes.
