Hickey and Boggs is a 1972 action film about two washed up detectives, Al Hickey (Bill Cosby) and Boggs (Robert Culp). The two are hired by a lawyer (Lou Frizzell), to find his missing girlfriend Mary Jane (Carmencristina Mareno). When the two begin their investigation the trail leads them straight to a mystery involving a cache of stolen money from a bank robbery. They discover that Mary Jane is married to a revolutionary, and that she is the last survivor of the gang that robbed the bank. The pair end up in the middle of a large crime ring. Cops, gangsters, revolutionaries, and the detectives are all hot on the trail looking for Mary Jane who has hit the road with the money. After they are fired by the lawyer, Hickey and Boggs refuse to give up on the case. If the two can return the stolen money, there is a $25,000.00 reward waiting for them.
