Hidden Valley Outlaws is a 1944 Western film directed by Howard Bretherton. The story starts with lawyer Gilbert Leland (Roy Barcroft), who is using his knowledge and manipulating the law to come into possession of lands by grabbing them from ranchers in the Southwest. Wild Bill Elliott (Bill Elliott) and Gabby Hayes (George "Gabby" Hayes) are determined to end this scam and help the fooled land owners. Realizing that his dirty business is now endangered, Leland designs a plan to neutralize the daring intruders and protect his affairs. The lawyer and his crew want to frame Wild Bill and Gabby Hayes by faking a murder and inciting the locals of the town to lynch them. If they are to stay in the game and destroy the ruthless land thieves, the good men now have to prove their innocence, and convince the town people that everything was a setup to get rid of them. Amidst all this tension and conflict June Clark (Anne Jeffreys) is there to offer some romantic inspiration.moreless
