High Hell takes place high in the Canadian Rockies far from civilization during the 1950s. Boorish gold miner Frank Davidson (Al Mulock) and his beautiful wife Lenore (Elaine Stewart) are trapped in their tiny wooden cabin during a long and chilly snowstorm. There is no way down the mountain with the roads closed by the snow. They are joined by Davidson's friend, the charming and handsome Craig Rhodes (John Derek) along with Rhodes' fellow gold miners, seedy Luke Fulgham (Patrick Allen) and Charlie Spence (Jerold Wells). The three seek shelter from the severe weather outside. As this group of gold miners spend more time trapped together in the cabin with Davidson and Lenore, Rhodes finds it increasingly difficult to ignore the sensual allures of Davidson's unfaithful wife. Tempers flare and friendships and fidelity are tested as they all await the storm to pass. High Hell is directed by Burt Balaban and written by Steve Frazee and Irve Tunick.
