HIGHLANDER: THE SOURCE is a 2007 fantasy action adventure film directed by Brett Leonard. The film follows a group of immortals who are intent on finding the source of their immortality. When Zai Jie (Stephen Rahman Hughes) breaks into a communication tower in Eastern Europe to determine the location of the source, The Guardian (Cristian Solimeno), traveling at the speed of light, appears almost instantaneously and decapitates him. Reggi (Stephen Wight), an other member of the group of immortals, comes to realize the the planets are coming into alignment, signifying an epic event. With the world beginning to fall apart, Duncan MacLeod (Adrian Paul) is captured by former immortal watcher, Joe Dawson (Jim Byrnes) and brought to join the small group of immortals. Duncan's mortal wife, Anna Teshemka (Thekla Reuten), meets up with them at a monastry. She is having visions that reveal the location of the source.
