Alex 'Hitch"Hitchens is an undercover professional 'date doctor, whose job is to help men perfect their wooing tactics. When one of Hitch's potential clients, a die-hard player without a tactful bone in his body, has a one night stand with gossip columnist Sara's best friend, Sara takes it upon herself to uncover the true identity of the date doctor. If she succeeds, however, it could mean the end for some of the relationships Hitch helped to forge, including that between insecure, overweight Albert Brennaman and celebrity Allegra Cole.
