Hitman (Uncut) is a 2007 film based on the similarly named Eidos Interactive video game series. The titular Hitman, Agent 47 (Timothy Olyphant) is an elite, genetically engineered international assassin who has been groomed to kill from childhood. Agent 47 works for a mysterious, shadowy organization known as the Agency, and is directed by his contact, Diana (Lisa Jacobs), to publicly take down the Russian President Mikhail Belicoff (Ulrich Thomsen). He manages to do so with the aid of a sniper rifle. He is then asked to kill the beautiful Nika (Olga Kurylenko), who allegedly witnessed his hit, but soon realises that she has never seen him before. Just then, a civilian next to Agent 47 is shot, and he realises he's been set up. The appearance of Belicoff's lookalikes further fuels his suspicions that Russian hardliners are out to set up a puppet government, and to complicate matters, the CIA and Interpol are also on his tail. Agent 47 and Nika must rely on all his skills and cunning to survive and put things right.moreless
