Hocus Pocus is the beloved 1993 fantasy children's comedy that has become a perennial Halloween favorite, directed by Kenny Ortega (Newsies, High School Musical, This Is It). Massachusetts transplant from LA Max Dennison (Omri Katz, Eerie Indiana) hates his new home of Salem: he can't get the girl of his dreams, Allison (Vinessa Shaw, The Hills Have Eyes) to notice him, he's a target for bullies, and he's stuck taking his little sister Dani (Thora Birch, American Beauty, Ghost World) trick or treating Halloween night. The only thing worth doing that he can see is to tour the ancient home of the legendary Sanderson sisters: a trio of alleged witches who are prophesied to return on All Hallow's Eve if a virgin lights a black flame candle they've fashioned. Not buying all this 'hocus pocus,' Max lights the candle ' and looses a comedic trio of magically charged terror on the unsuspecting Massachusetts town!
