Hollow Man 2 is a 2006 direct to DVD sequel to the earlier Hollow Man film starring Kevin Bacon that Paul Verhoeven directed. However Bacon is not in this film (nor was it directed by Verhoeven). In Bacon's place the main character is played by Christian Slater. Slater plays Michael Griffin, a government soldier turned insane, vengeful (and invisible!) assassin. He was a test subject for the government and has now escaped to hunt down the experimental serum that could save his life. Michael decides to go after a molecular scientist (played by Larua Regan) and the detective who's job is to protect her (played by Peter Facinelli). The film was a cheap cash cow to the original and suffers from its poor casting, effects, and story. It is widely considered to be completely unnecessary.
