Hollywood Stories is a collection of five short films that show the side of Hollywood behind the cameras. The films are "Don't Give Me the Finger", "Exit 8A", "Sammy the Screenplay", "Who's Kyle?", and "Cut". Each piece shows a different aspect of Hollywood life than the one seen on the big screen. "Don't Give Me the Finger" originated from an Alfred Hitchcock play and consists of a bar owner offering a high-risk venture to a down-on-his-luck gambler. In "Exit 8A", Nick (Desmond Devenish) goes looking for his absentee father for answers to the questions he has about his life. "Sammy the Screenplay" looks at the way a script becomes a movie in Hollywood. This short comedy starred John Hurley, Jason Alexander, and Rob Schneider. In "Who's Kyle", Kyle (Cary Anderson) steals money from his loan shark's girlfriend (Phina Oruche) and runs for it. He breaks down in a remote area, which leads to his rescue by an odd family. "Cut" is a piece about the cast and crew of a horror flick in which they find their director has been murdered. Every time someone tries to finish the picture, that person is slain, too. From gamblers to screenplays to murder, this collection of short pieces deals with happenings in Hollywood that are rarely seen under the Hollywood movie lights.moreless
