Home Alone 3

Movie Summary

Director:
Raja Gosnell
Released:
1997
Rating:
PG
Home Alone 3 is the third movie in the successful Home Alone series of movies. The 1997 family comedy was directed by Raja Gosnell. Fans of the series may be disappointed to find out that this is the first movie that does not star Macaulay Culkin. The movie follows the basic plot as the first two movies, a boy left at home who uses booby traps and mischievous behavior to fight off robbers and defend his family home. But the third movie proves to be full of surprises. Alex Pruitt (Alex D. Linz) is a 9 year-old boy left home alone because he is not feeling well. Boredom sets in and he decides to use his telescope. Much to his surprise he notices four people who he thinks are robbers (Olek Krupa, Rya Kihlstedt, Lenny Von Dohlen, and David Thornton) breaking into neighborhood homes. As with the first two movies of the series, the police are of no help. It dawns on Alex that the burglars may be after something he recently received as payment for shoveling snow. In preparation for the robbery, Alex arms his home with the booby traps and hijinks fans of the series have grown to love.moreless
