Metacritic Score

  • 60

    Variety Joe Leydon

An engagingly rambunctious toon Western that likely will attract herds of family auds, if not multitudes of teens and tweeners, to megaplex corrals.

  • 50

    Los Angeles Times Kenneth Turan

What it really is is an unapologetic cartoon, a harum-scarum endeavor that's so comically frantic it wears you out as much as it entertains.

  • 40

The New York Times A.O. Scott

The best cartoons are built on the contradictory pursuit of meticulously arranged anarchy. But they never seem needy, or desperate for laughs, as Home on the Range does. The film s...

  • Worst Disney movie ever made.

    1.0
I mean between the sappy plot, the cut-rate animation, the terrible songs, and the over-use of puns and pop-culture references in the Old West, there is nothing good about this mooo-vie.
  • They actually removed my review?!

    1.0
I reviewed this on July 23 last year. Back then there weren't any other votes so I gave this a generous 2/10 for the simple reason that I wanted it to be at least .1 higher than Marvin Marvin which as we all know has 1.9. Then in September a 10 came from a user who apparently voted 10 on all Disney and non-Disney animated films giving this an average of 6/10 so of course I had to change it to 1 bringing the average down to 5.5. Then another vote appeared lowering the average a bit further to 4.8. Now it's 3.9, just like how The Secret of NIMH 2: Timmy to the Rescue has 3.8. And I know the first vote for The Secret of NIMH 2 was 3/10 before I voted it 1 bringing the average down to 2/10, then in September that same user who voted this 10 apparently voted this 10 bringing the average up to 4.7. Now it's down to 3.8 and this 3.9. I said in my last review for this that it's the worst and most moronic movie Walt Disney Feature Animation (now Walt Disney Animation Studios) made and that the only reason I didn't give it a 1 was because like I said earlier I at least wanted it to have .1 higher than Marvin Marvin which as we all know has 1.9. Then I updated it on September 15 to say I changed it to 1 because like I said before someone else who apparently gave all Disney and non-Disney animated films 10s gave this a 10 too. Why was my old review removed?! I didn't have swearing like SOME PEOPLE, not me, do. I wasn't wrong. It was just my opinion. Seriously? New review posted on February 2 to add this: Nick has an upcoming show called Breadwinners that airs in 20 days. Today I found the pilot on YouTube and showed it to my family. EVERYONE HATED IT! They all said it was the worst thing they'd seen in their lives. And that includes The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure (2012), Spider's Web: A Pig's Tale (2006), and Rabbids Invasion. So I won't be surprised when Breadwinners gets a 1.9 just like Marvin Marvin here at and Spider's Web: A Pig's Tale at IMDb. My Aunt said I should rate it as low as possible just to get the score down. Unfortunately, the lowest one can rate is 1, unless you are a prolific author. I have been working on that for months (6 plus months), so I can rate stuff like Marvin Marvin, Fred: The Show, and The Oogieloves a 0.0. Breadwinners is next on my "to rate 0.0 once I can" list.

UPDATE ON FEBRUARY 18: Breadwinners premiered yesterday. I have reviewed it. It's bad but not as bad as Sanjay and Craig.moreless
