Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey is the Disney movie that retells the classic story of survival in the wilderness by a band of common house pets. Chance (Michael J. Fox), a bulldog, Shadow (Don Ameche), a golden retriever, and Sassy (Sally Field), a cat, have to travel across hundreds of miles of unfamiliar terrain to find their way back home. Their owner leaves them with a friend, but the animals will not settle for that. Instead, they launch out for their travels. The audience listens in as voiceovers give these animals personalities. They travel down a river by raft together, run from a mountain lion, go fishing, and befriend a porcupine. When the family realizes they are lost, they post signs everywhere, and ultimately a few forest rangers recognize the pets. However, their attempt to bring the animals home results in another mad dash as they attempt to avoid what they think is "the pound." It's hundreds of miles of adventure as the animals persist in their homeward bound journey.moreless

  • Nick finally cancelled Sam & Cat!

I know this is unrelated, but we finally got rid of Sam & Cat! Hallelujah! So that's one crappy Nick show down, seven more to go. Now we just need to get rid of: The Thundermans, The Haunted Hathaways, Breadwinners, Rabbids Invasion, Sanjay and Cat, Every Which Way, and AwesomenessTV.
  • A big part of my childhood.

    Sad. Heartwarming. Funny. Happy. GREAT!!
