Homicide for Three is a 1948 mystery about a young couple's visit to Los Angeles, where they plan to celebrate their first anniversary. This doesn't happen; instead the couple becomes entangled in a homicide and police investigation. Navy Lt. Peter Duluth (Warren Douglas) and his wife, Iris (Audrey Long) are in Los Angeles, having a hard time finding a hotel room. A mysterious stranger comes to their rescue. Colette (Stephanie Bachelor) offers them her room. They gladly take it, thinking their plans are back on track. They're wrong. The phone rings and the person on the other end warns of a murder about to be committed. The couple gets the help of two private investigators Joe Hatch (Grant Withers) and Bill Daggett (George Lynn). The foursome learn that mysterious Collette is the killer's next intended victim. The plot thickens as the police arrive, and some people's actions reveal that they might not be who they say they are.
