Horror Planet, also known as "Inseminoid", is a British sci-fi/horror film directed by Norman J. Warren and released in 1981. Set in the future, the film revolves around a crew of scientists looking for the remains of an ancient civilization on a desolate planet. The team of 12 scientists, all part of the Xeno project, begin excavating and discover an ancient underground tunnel system containing crystals and inscriptions on the walls. Soon, the crew begins to suspect that the crystals are affecting them in ways they can't understand. Then members of the team begin dying in bizarre accidents. Sharon (Heather Wright) believes a chemical intelligence is responsible for it all, and when Sandy (Judy Geeson) is attacked and raped by a monster in the caves, the situation gets even worse. Sharon and the chief medical officer examine Sandy afterwards and discover that the attack has left Sandy pregnant. As her pregnancy proceeds at an accelerated pace, Sandy's behavior begins to frighten the remaining crew, but they are trapped until the Xeno rescue shuttle comes for them. Now they must all hope it arrives before they are all killed by the forces existing on this inhospitable planet.moreless
