Hotel Torgo is a short documentary released in 2004, directed and written by Aaron Allard and James Lafleur. The documentary is about the movie "Manos: The Hands of Fate." Most critics and historians agree that "Manos: The Hands of Fate" is the worst movie ever made. The movie was completed in April 1966 and by the end of April 1966 critics had already doomed the movie for being so terrible. The directors of Hotel Torgo tracked down the last surviving crew member, Bernie Rosenblum (himself) from the original movie set and had him explain why the movie was made. During this short documentary, Rosenblum provides the backstory for the movie. He explains that the movie was the vision of Hal Warren. Warren was an El Paso, Texas salesmen who wanted to make a commercial film. He had no professional crew, no professional actors and only a $16,000 budget. The documentary also includes clips of the original movie and a spoof of the movie.moreless
