House of Frankenstein is a Universal Studios horror film produced in 1944. Dr. Gustav Niemann (Boris Karloff) escapes from prison with his hunchbacked assistant, Daniel (J. Carrol Naish) to gain revenge on B''rgermeister Hussman (Sig Ruman), who caused his imprisonment and several former associates against whom he bears a grudge. He revives Dracula (John Carradine), whom he uses to help him to kill his enemies. Niemann then goes on to locate the frozen bodies of Frankenstein's Monster (Glenn Strange) and Lawrence Talbot (Lon Chaney, Jr.), AKA the Wolf Man, who were both assumed dead following a fight to the death. Despite making promises to help cure the newly-revived Talbot of his curse and to find a new body for his assistant Daniel, he is still plotting revenge. Meanwhile, a young gypsy girl, Ilonka, falls in love with Talbot despite his curse, but the eventual revival of Frankenstein's Monster sets a tragic course of events in motion.moreless
