How She Move is a dramatic film garnered in so much dancing it will leave you wanting to shake and move all of your limbs, or at least tap your feet. The film stars Rutina Wesley (HBO's True Blood) and is directed by Ian Iqbal Rashid. How She Move tells the story of Raya, a girl whose heart is set on going to medical school. Unfortunately, Raya lacks the money to continue her education and is forced to move back home to her life in the city. As she reflects on her situation, she learns about a highly competitive step-dance competition, in which the winning team takes home $50,000. She then embarks on a mission to earn the respect of one of the competing teams' leaders - a man named Bishop (Dwain Murphy). Raya earns his respect and is placed on the team, which is comprised entirely of men. Despite her talent, Raya struggles to fit in with her team due to gender differences. She also is envied by most other girls, and is ostracized from their social events. Is Raya head strong enough to make it in such a competitive environment? And, more importantly, is it worth it to her? Watch to find out!moreless
