How to Be a Serial Killer is an alternative 2008 mockumentary which, when looked at in depth, satirizes the everyday self-aggrandizing behavior we frequently engage in. On a lighter, more superficial note, it mocks the peculiarities of a killer's mind. Mike Wilson (Dameon Clarke) is a textbook case sociopath - he's smart, charming'and fantasizes about murder! And just like all serial killers, he's attention hungry. In an effort to document his uniqueness, Mike asks his friend Bart (Matthew Gray) to document his slayings on camera. These ill-natured videos follow Mike during his killings as he generously offers advice and commentary on the thrills that come with it. But plans shift when Mike's girlfriend Abigail (Laura Regan) discovers the truth behind her shifty boyfriend and his sad friend Bart. How to Be a Serial Killer was written and directed by Luke Ricci and is every bit worth watching if you can take the humor with a grain of salt.
