How to Frame a Figg is a comedy starring Don Knotts as Hollis Figg, a bookkeeper at City Hall. The city fathers fire the other bookkeepers, but keep Hollis Figg (Don Knotts) because they suspect he lacks the intelligence to notice that they are engaged in shady financial dealings. The city fathers buy a computer to help them cover their tracks and imagine Figg will inadvertently assist them in keeping their financial secrets. But Figg's new position goes to his head, and as he peacocks he stumbles upon their secret. Figg's silliness at City Hall has led him to the discovery of some serious wrongdoing. He shares his suspicions, but in response he's promoted and given a luxurious office, a beautiful secretary and a company car. Will this "promotion" distract him from the truth, will he resist the bribe and report his findings, or will he find himself framed for the fraudulent dealings?
