Movie Summary

Frank Paur
Hulk Vs. is an animated superhero film directed by Frank Paur and Sam Liu based on the Marvel Comics powerhouse, the Incredible Hulk, as he faces off against two of Marvel's infamous heroes, the feral and downright dangerous killer of an X-Man, Wolverine, and the hammer-wielding Asgardian, Thor, in two distinct films. In Hulk vs. Wolverine, the scrappy assassin finds himself sent on a mission by Department H, the Canadian department of defense, to find the a wild beast destroying the local towns and villages in the Canadian wilderness. When he finds the weak and blubbering Bruce Banner, he soon faces off against the Hulk but finds out that he wasn't the only hired gun to take down the green behemoth. Can the Hulk and Wolverine come to some sort of civil agreement in order to go up against a team of villains with the likes of Deadpool, Sabretooth, Omega Red, and Lady Deathstrike? Does the Hulk even know what civil means? In Hulk vs. Thor, Hulk finds himself taken over by the trickster god, Loki, who wants to use the forever angry and nearly indestructible body to take down the giants and gods in Asgard. The combination of the scheming brains and burly brawns proves to be a heady combination as the Loki Hulk does a fantastic job beating the Norse warriors into a pulp. Thor steps in with the mighty hammer, Mjolnir, as he takes on his brother, the Hulk, and the underworld. Will the thunder god be able to save Asgard from the smashing destruction of an enraged Hulk? Will Bruce Banner be able to return to his rightful other half now that he's had a taste of life without a monster?moreless

    Hulk vs. Thor

Loki proceeds to bring the Hulk to Asgard while Odin is still snoozing during Odinsleep - and it falls onto Thor to battle the monster when all else fails.

The plot was actually more complex than that, well executed and bringing out the many side-stories that existed beneath the main arch, highlighting multiple characters in a very favorable manner.

The animation and overall execution were all good, bringing to life a story that didn't offer anything new and breathtaking, but rather an old-fashioned hero-smashing showdown.

    Hulk vs. Wolverine

The story leaned more towards Weapon X than Hulk and Wolvie actually butting heads, and that took away a bit from what could have been expected from the story.

Besides that, the short film had all the blood, carnage and violence that befits a meeting of Hulk and 'claw people'.

A life-saver was the hilarious performance of Deadpool, no way around it.

Nothing thrilling but definitely fun to watch.moreless
