Hungry Years is a 2009 film directed by Eva and Isaak James. It is a quirky movie that follows a group of people as they deal with their own issues and the issues of society. Ellen (Tah van Allmen) is a calorie restricting nutritionist who believes that through restricting her food, she will be able to live a long, healthy life. Ellen has many clients in her nutrition office, and each of her clients seem to have their own set of problems. Dale (Michael J. Burg) is one of her clients, and he has an odd obsession with keeping soiled underwear. His wife Joyce (Karen Culp) is an eccentric writer who has written a book that she claims is the next best self-help book. This movie follows Ellen and her clients as they all try to figure out how to live in a world that they feel so deeply disconnected from.
