I Heart Huckabees, or I Love Huckabees, is a comedy from Fox Searchlight. Albert Markovski (Jason Schwartzman) is an environmentalist who does not want the Huckabees department store to open a new location in his town. Brad Stand (Jude Law) is an executive at Huckabees. Although he pretends to agree with Albert's opinion that opening the store would have a negative environmental impact, Brad joins Albert's environmental group and manages to take over the leadership position. Meanwhile, after several strange coincidences occur, Albert decides to hire a quirky married couple to assist him. Bernard (Dustin Hoffman) and Vivian Jaffe (Lily Tomlin) are existential detectives that help their clients discover what life is all about. The Jaffes begin to investigate Brad, who hires them himself in the hope that he can distract them from learning too much about his true identity. This causes a string of events to occur that Brad never expected.
