Ibid is an independent, psychedelic, buddy road comedy that aims to explore the furthest reaches of the American psyche. Lionel (Christian Campbell) and Tin (Russel Friedenberg) are a couple of young men receiving treatment at an "alternative" mental health institution. The two mostly spend their days drooling in straightjacket or co-writing a play until they are interrupted by a higher calling. Lionel is handed a mission from God (Christopher Kriesa), who fears it might be time to give up and kill everybody. Appearing to the schizophrenic Lionel as a lonely, bearded cowboy named Don, God tasks Lionel and Tin with inscribing new commandments and locating his misplaced copy of the Bible. Should they fail, the consequences would be dire. In fact, it would mean the end of the world. Far from a normal road trip, Ibid embarks on a bizarre and epic journey into the world and their own tragic history.
