Ice Blues: A Donald Strachey Mystery is a 2008 adaptation of a Richard Stevenson mystery novel. When senator aid Tim Callahan (Sebastian Spence) receives a $3 million donation for a youth center, he asks his boyfriend to help him investigate the donor. Detective Donald Strachey (Chad Allen) does so, and both men are stunned when the donor, lawyer Jake Lenigen (Jason Poulsen), is found dead in Donald's car. The plot thickens when they discover that the lawyer's father had also been murdered many years ago, and the suspect in that case was his wife. When the $3 million donation ends up in Tim's bank account anyway, both men are concerned for Tim's life. They do not know who is behind the money, or who wants to get it back, but it is clear the killer will stop at nothing. Donald must discover who murdered Jake and where the money is coming from, or he and his boyfriend will be next on the murderer's list.moreless
