Ice Men is a 2004 American drama film by director Thom Best, starring Martin Cummins, David Hewlett, and Greg Spottiswood. Vaughn (Martin Cummins) has inherited his family's wilderness cabin and, after the requisite period to settle in, invites his best friends up for a relaxing winter weekend of hunting and drinking. But when some unexpected guests arrive along with his friends, things take a change for the dramatic. What was intended to be a simple weekend getaway turns into a tumultuous two days of self-questioning, self-doubt, and self-discovery as all the inhabitants of the cabin learn things they had never known about each other, and themselves. But are some things better left unkown? Deep resentments, dark secrets, and unpleasant memories all buble to the surface, testing the friendships of the men. Ice Men, a film intended for mature audiences, rose to fame through great success and lesbian and gay film festivals.
