Ice Station Zebra is a 1968 dramatic action thriller directed by John Sturges, and based on a 1963 novel of the same name by Alistair MacLean. In the film, Naval Commander James Ferraday (Rock Hudson) has just received new orders from his superiors. His new task is to assemble a group including David Jones (Patrick McGoohan), a British civilian; Marine Captain Anders (Jim Brown) and his platoon; Boris Vaslov (Ernest Borgnine), a friendly Russian operative and the crew of the Nuclear Sub USS Tigerfish to the North Pole. The goal is to rescue the crew of the Drift Ice Station Zebra, a weather station at the top of the world. The weather station is in grave danger if not rescued soon everyone there could perish. The task is difficult, but when unforeseen circumstances arise, Commander James Ferraday thinks the mission may be impossible. Will they rescue the crew of Drift Ice Station Zebra?
