Movie Summary

Rodman Flender
Idle Hands is a film made in 1999 about lazy pothead Anton Tobias (Devon Sawa), his friends Pnub (Elden Henson) and Mick (Seth Green), and the girl across the street, Molly (Jessica Alba). Anton becomes the primary suspect in a series of murders in their town, which include his parents as two of the victims. He realizes that he is in fact guilty, but the murders are unintentional, as his right hand is possessed. After accidentally killing his friends, who return in typical stoned teenager fashion claiming heaven was "too far," Anton realizes that he must stop his hand before it slaughters the whole town. The hand does one good thing for him when it forces him to talk to Molly and puts him in a situation that leads to a relationship with her. Now that he has his dream girl, the stakes are even higher to stop the hand before it takes her too. With the help of Debi (Vivica A. Fox), a druidic high priestess who knows the hand's true purpose and how to stop it, as well of the ghosts of his friends, Anton tries a variety of ways to stop the hand to no avail. It's after Molly's soul and coming to the school dance to get it, as well as anyone who stands in its way. Its stoners vs. evil spirits in the quest to save a heavenly girl from being sent straight to hell, and if Anton can survive, he'll never forget that idle hands are the devil's playground.moreless
