I'll Be There is a musical comedy directed by Craig Ferguson. A washed-up pop star, Paul Kerr (Craig Ferguson), discovers that a brief encounter years ago resulted in the birth of a daughter. The daughter, Olivia Edmonds (Charlotte Church), is now a young woman. Paul discovers that the daughter he never knew is a wonderful singer. Olivia's mother, Rebecca (Jemma Redgrave), lives a quiet life in a small Welsh town but her quiet life is disrupted when the ex-pop star makes a visit. Rebecca is trying to steer Olivia away from becoming a musician by using her father's career as an example of how hard life on the road can be. Rebecca believes that Paul abandoned her for the success of his rock band. Paul works to rekindle his romance with Rebecca while his daughter has to prove she can handle being a musician who really has a great talent.moreless
