I'm No Angel is the story of a carnival sideshow performer, Tira (Mae West), who gains wealth, fame, and a handsome husband after moving to New York City. Kent Taylor and Cary Grant star alongside West in this 1933 comedy classic released by Paramount Pictures. The real story begins when Tira's boss proposes that she become a lion tamer to earn extra money to pay for a lawyer after her boyfriend lands her in legal trouble. However, part of the lion act requires that Tira put her head into the lion's mouth. This works out very well for Tira as it makes her a circus star and gives her the chance to move to New York City. There Tira gains the affections of two cousins, Kirk Lawrence (Taylor) and Jack Clayton (Grant). Despite being engaged, Kirk pursues Tira. When his cousin Jack intervenes to tell Tira to leave Kirk and his fianc''e alone, the two of them end up falling madly in love.
