I'm Reed Fish follows the turmoil that erupts when small-town radio personality Reed Fish's (Jay Baruchel) high school sweetheart comes home on the eve of his wedding. Reed has followed the path laid out for him years ago, taking over his father's early morning radio call-in show and planning to marry Kate Peterson (Alexis Bledel), a high school friend. Things start to get complicated when he runs into his old girlfriend Jill (Schuyler Fisk) one morning. Jill is supposed to be away at law school, but she confides that she quit years before to pursue a career in music. She makes ends meet by working as a waitress and is embarrassed she hasn't lived up to the town's expectations. As the two start to reconnect and he helps Jill find her creative voice, Reed finds complications in his relationship with Kate. With a little input from the town, he takes a look at the choices he's made that have led to his safe, secure life. The 2006 romantic comedy earned Baruchel the best actor award at the 2007 U.S. Comedy Arts Festival.moreless
